Top to bottom. Looking at this roster, it seems similar to an NBA all-star roster. This year, the 2020-2021 Men's Basketball team will be led by seniors
Malik Johnson,
Jack Hanson and
Athuai Ding, juniors
John Elful,
Karter Adams,
Iverson Neal, and sophomores
Edric Hill and
Cyan Evans. These boys have the talent, determination, and experience to lead our team into the state playoffs, at a minimum. This is our prediction for the team, and some of the guys have set similar expectations for themselves. Sophomore
Brennen Knabe told me that.
"It is shaping up to be a good year for us. We've got some four-year varsity guys as leaders and a great coaching staff. We moved up a conference, so even though we'll have some harder games, we are still shooting for a conference title."-
Brennen Knabe
Coach Ramsey also answered questions for us:
What is your top goal for this season?
"To get better everyday and challenge for a conference and district title." – Coach Ramsey
Do you guys have any history with William Chrisman?
"We used to be conference opponents for the last few years. They knocked us out of the playoffs last year. So we have extra motivation tonight."- Coach Ramsey
Do you have anybody that is stepping up since you lost two good seniors last year?
"We have sophomore
Cyan Evans as well as newcomers to varsity
Iverson Neal and transfer
Karter Adams."
The Men's Basketball team is set to play William Christman tonight. The Hornets were 1-1 against Chrisman last year and are looking for a win tonight to get off to a quick start to the season. On paper, this team can go very, very far and do great things, but need to leave it all out on the court to get it done.
The game will be @Northtown @7:00 P.M and you can see it live at
