This week is bound to be a good matchup. North Kansas City will host the Lee's Summit Tigers. The Hornets are coming off a heart-breaking loss against Staley, while Lee's Summit is looking to rebound from a blowout loss against Park Hill, 45-17. The Hornets are hoping to bounce back and keep their goals for this season alive. Led by
Domonique Orange,
Keilan Powell, and Septembers male athlete of the month Danial Joiner, these Hornets look to make a late season push for the playoffs. On homecoming week, this squad will look to make a huge splash for the whole school to enjoy.
Â
Lee's Summit could be in for a good game, with their Quarterback, Tommy Lock, ranked 5
th in the Kansas City Metro in terms of passing. Looking at the numbers the Hornets should be favored, but they can't take any game for granted. When asked about the loss to Staley, Junior Chris Kesley told me "I had a lot of rage with that being a big rivalry game. We were up just to let them come back, but hopefully we can go out against Lee's Summit and handle business like we should." We have seen it happen before, but with all the work the Hornets have put in this week and look to get back on the winning side we wouldn't bet against them.Â
