It is a sad day for Northtown football.

After playing extremely well in the 1^st half, scoring three rushing touchdowns, and playing a clean game, only committing 6 penalties for the game. In the second half however, Staley had its way with the Hornets defense in the third and fourth quarter. The Hornets held on, but by the end of the fourth quarter, it was all tied up at 22. After a tense overtime, Staley overcame the Hornets with a go-ahead field goal to win the game 25-22.

This will be a tough game to get over, but Northtown must refocus this week as they look to right the ship against Lee's Summit on Friday.
