Conference season is here for the Northtown Men's Golf Season. Monday, Northtown is slated to compete against Lee's Summit, Oak Park, Park Hill South, St Joseph Central, and Staley for the Red Division. Expect all 6 of our golfers to compete at their highest level and bring home some hardware.
 
Junior Joe Winfrey has been having an amazing year so far, and he is very excited for the opportunity to place.

"All conference competitions are super nerve racking, but I feel it's been a different season. I truly believe we will do better than in years prior and we have worked hard enough to get personal bests up and down our team. At the end of the day, it will be a good day to golf, and there's nothing wrong with that."

Junior Logan Blazek has been crushing it this year as well, coming in with the only birdie on the team. As the two leaders for this team, they will be looking to compete for top finishes. Senior Nick Dunn is also looking to finish his high school career on a high note. Sophomore Hank Word will be trying to top his personal best score through 18 holes. He has been riding a hot streak, placing 2^nd on the team through the team's last 3 matches. Freshman Eric Newberry will be showing his improvement from the start of the year, as he has burst onto the scene, earning a pair of top 3 team places. Fellow Freshman Mateo Whitley will look to play as good as he has all season.
 
From top to bottom, this team has the ability to show up in Conference, and it could result in a Top 3 finish. The conference Northtown's in is extremely difficult for golf, but with this squad, expect a strong showing at the Conference tournament from the Northtown Men's Golf Team.
