Having a great start to the season the lady hornets show off the work they have put in for the season with a record of 15-2. "A lot of our team was working really hard on the off season, just doing a lot of practice and stuff," senior
Sydney Fuger said. The team thinks their improvement has been because of their coaches motivation in working as a team and problem solving. "Our coaches are extremely positive and kind of let us work issues out on our own and give us leadership opportunities and team bonding," Fuger said.
Towards the end of the season
Sydney Fuger breaks the state record for the most career wins at 188.
In an intense showdown on Wednesday the Hornets secured their first district championship title since 1992 and punched their ticket to the State Quarterfinals defeating Pembroke Hill. The match came down to the final moments with sophomore
Gracelynn Hankins taking down her opponent 10-5 in the final set. Our state record breaker Fuger gives some advice saying "Keep working hard and keeping a positive attitude and having a lot of energy in matches and team spirit its something we've been really working on this season."
